Our school is set on an elevated position looking over the Tamar Valley. Approaching the school from Delaware Road, the driveway leads you up to the front of the school into the school site. Here you will find the reception area. There is a car park in this area for school staff and visitors parking. All visitors, staff and students must sign in on their arrival to the school and be informed of the schools’ safeguarding and emergency procedures.
From the front car park, the main school building can be accessed which houses classrooms, therapy offices, a main hall for dining and school events and assemblies and an Immersion room. The immersion room is a wonderful sensory and learning environment which allows our children and young people to experience immersive experiences onsite, supporting their learning and experiences.
From the building, a rear play and recreation area is accessed, with active play equipment and areas. The Barn houses learning spaces including an indoor climbing wall.
Into the next area of the school site, buildings house classrooms as well as accessing the barn. A second entrance to this area is accesses through Moorland Way which leads to our rear car park. A large garden and pasture is surrounded by mature trees and hedgerow, providing a quiet, safe outdoor environment. Outdoor building across the grounds allow for break out spaces, space for quiet, learning and outdoor activities including Forest School, Nurture and Vocational gardening, horticulture and exploring the natural fauna and flora.
