Our vision is ‘to empower our learners to achieve their best outcomes through high quality education, in preparation for life. Here we celebrate being unique individuals and develop unearthed potential’.
Like corn, we thrive when the sun shines, but we need the rain to grow. We respect everyone as individuals and recognise they may have and continue to experience challenges and adversity. Our Copper values set out the behaviours and approaches to which we strive for our school community in together achieving our vision.

Our Copper Culture forms the basis of the schools’ rewards and behaviour policy and are incorporated in our school day to day. We take every opportunity to celebrate where our Copper Cultures are being demonstrated well, including through assemblies and feedback to families.

School news
School trip to the Donkey park
Our learners raised money through a car wash which they chose to donate to the local donkey sanctuary, Tamar Valley Donkey Sanctuary. We organised a school trip for all of our learners to visit the park, where we handed over the donations. Our learners loved seeing the animals and enjoying the play facilities.

Remembrance Day 2025 11th November 2025
Our learners learnt about Remembrance Day today and why we mark this each year and the sacrifices made by others. Our learners had a sensory-filled morning making poppies made of dough, poppy cookies and beautiful wreaths. Our learners were incredible in our silence to show our respects, one of our Copper Culture Values and learning about British Values.

School Clubs
Our learners have told us through pupil voice what clubs they’d like to have at the school. We have been running construction club including using Lego and blocks. Excitingly we have (well, one of our learners who is very good at Chess) set up a Chess Club. This club is open to anyone who might want to give it a try or learn! I feel I have much learning! Chris
